A Lasting Legacy
The Ministry of Labour building in downtown Kingston and the newly constructed Western Children's Hospital in St. James will now bear her name.
During the unveiling ceremony, political leaders from both sides of the aisle praised Simpson Miller's dedication to the working class and her trailblazing role in Jamaican politics. "She shattered the ultimate glass ceiling and paved the way for generations of women," noted the current Prime Minister.
